After a string of eight wins, Academy of Science and Innovation's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Cromwell Panthers. If the Ravens were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Academy of Science and Innovation ultimately came up short, they really made Cromwell work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 19-25, 25-6, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Academy of Science and Innovation still got an impressive performance from Nehae'Vah Armstrong, who had 13 digs and seven aces. Armstrong has been hot recently, having posted three or more aces the last three times she's played.

Academy of Science and Innovation's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Cromwell, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Academy of Science and Innovation didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Farmington on the 22nd. As for Cromwell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Capital Prep on the 21st.
