Volleyball Recap: New London Takes a Loss

New London came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the South Central Trojans, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

While New London ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-17.

Despite the loss, New London still got an impressive performance from Ava Ringler, who had 14 digs and four assists. Ringler has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

New London's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9. As for South Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

New London didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Monroeville on the 7th. As for South Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Madison Comprehensive on the 6th.
