Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Leesburg Yellow Jackets, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 17-10 to Lake Wales on Friday. Leesburg's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Leesburg's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Lake Wales, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0.
Leesburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lake Wales will head out on the road to face off against Vanguard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Vanguard is ranked 42nd, while Lake Wales is ranked 31st).
