Covenant Day won the last time they faced North Raleigh Christian Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Lions made off with a 47-46 win over the Knights.

Covenant Day got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Thompson out in front who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Thurman, who scored five points and five rebounds.

Covenant Day smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They are 2-1 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Covenant Day's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Day will square off against Nation Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against John Paul II Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
