Basketball Game Preview: Bartlett Panthers vs. Houston Mustangs

Bartlett has won seven straight games at home, while Houston has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Bartlett Panthers will host the Houston Mustangs at 6:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Bartlett didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against White Station, but they still walked away with a 54-50 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Houston had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against Overton by a score of 63-55 on Friday.

Houston's win came from a few key players Bartlett will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Caidyn Sanders, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. The game was her fifth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Mcnamee, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 14 points and five rebounds.

Houston was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They are 21-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Houston is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points over those games. Bartlett's victory bumped their record up to 20-11.
