Soccer Game Preview: Woodville-Tompkins vs. McIntosh County Academy

The Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines will venture away from home to face off against the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Woodville-Tompkins is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Long County just ended the team's six-game winning streak two weeks ago. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Tide. The loss put an end to the Wolverines' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, McIntosh County Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to Bryan County. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Buccaneers struggled afterwards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Woodville-Tompkins fell to 6-1. As for McIntosh County Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
