Baseball Recap: Argonaut Comes Up Short

After flying high against McNair last Tuesday, Argonaut came back down to earth. The Argonaut Mustangs fell just short of the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack by a score of 5-3 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since April 22, 2024.

Argonaut saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clayton Hardy, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Argonaut fell to 3-1.

Argonaut will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Antelope at 3:30 p.m. on March 6th. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they will host Rio Americano at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
