Volleyball Recap: Virgin Valley Finds Playoff Glory Versus Desert Pines

Virgin Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Desert Pines Jaguars 3-0 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Virgin Valley took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12, 25-6.

Their offense was headlined by Reece Leavitt and Destry Tobler, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Dallin Moeai and his 17 assists. McKay Mulitalo controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Desert Pines still got an impressive performance from Jose Garcia, who had nine digs and four assists.

Virgin Valley's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-9. As for Desert Pines, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

Virgin Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Moapa Valley on the 8th. Desert Pines does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
