Football Recap: Poynette Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Poynette can now relate to. They were beaten by the Edgar Wildcats 42-0 on Friday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Pumas were not able to get on the board.

With the defeat, Poynette broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3. As for Edgar, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

Poynette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edgar, they will face off against Bonduel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games.
