Basketball Recap: Treutlen Snags Ninth Win in Last 11 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Laurens, Treutlen was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Telfair County Trojans 77-54. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 86-65 on January 10th.

Treutlen has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Telfair County, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Treutlen won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dooly County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Treutlen is facing Dooly County at the right time seeing as Dooly County is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Telfair County, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Hawkinsville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hawkinsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season.
