Basketball Recap: Houston's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Houston came into Friday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Redington Huskies on Friday, sneaking past 36-34. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

Houston's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Redington, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Houston will square off against Glennallen at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Glennallen will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Houston surely won't give up without a fight. As for Redington, they will welcome Susitna Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
