Baseball Game Preview: North Thurston Rams vs. Peninsula Seahawks

The North Thurston Rams will face off against the Peninsula Seahawks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

North Thurston is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since May 7, 2024 on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Peninsula.

For Peninsula's part, they got a good showing from Kaleb Copeland, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Copeland has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Peninsula saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pete Browand, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Another was Isaac Schultz-Tait, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Peninsula has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 7-2-1 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9 runs. As for North Thurston, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
