Baseball Recap: New Egypt Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

New Egypt came into Monday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Lacey Township Lions on Monday by a score of 2-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Lions on Friday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

New Egypt's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Arnold, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Arnold has brought in this season.

New Egypt picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-9. As for Lacey Township, they moved to 13-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, New Egypt will take on Pinelands Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lacey Township, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Barnegat at 3:30 p.m.
