Softball Recap: Riverheads Takes a Loss

Riverheads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Central Woodstock Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 back in March.

Riverheads' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Central Woodstock, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 11-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverheads will face off against Staunton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Storm have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.2 runs per game on average), something the Gladiators will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Central Woodstock, they will square off against Luray at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
