Soccer Recap: Halls vs. Giles County
After failing to score in their last match, Halls made sure to put some goals up on the board against Giles County on Sunday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Giles County Bobcats 5-4. Even though the Red Devils got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Presley Mathes was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.
Halls hit Giles County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Maya Patel (2),
Emma Denton, and
Breanna Sanderson.
Halls' victory bumped their record up to 2-6-2. As for Giles County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halls is on the road again on Thursday to play Oak Ridge at 7:00 p.m. As for Giles County, they will square off against Central Magnet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
