Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Montwood). Everything went their way against the Franklin Cougars on Wednesday as Montwood made off with a 25-7 victory. Considering the Rams have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Pia Velez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Jaeda Quinones was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February of 2024.
