Ralston Valley has gone 8-2 against Lakewood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m.

Ralston Valley is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Bear Creek just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 4-3. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bears since on Saturday.

Ralston Valley got a good showing from Porter Peonio, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Peonio has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ralston Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nico Benallo, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lakewood ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They skirted past Dakota Ridge 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted against the Eagles since April 14, 2016.

Ralston Valley now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Lakewood, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-6.

Ralston Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Lakewood when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
