Basketball Recap: Capitol Hill Comes Up Short

Capitol Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Putnam City North Panthers 96-30. The Redwolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-12.

Putnam City North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tj Mcneely led the charge by going 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Mcneely a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Muriithi, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Capitol Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Putnam City North, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Capitol Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Putnam City North, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Putnam City North Panthers face off against the Norman Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Norman has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
