Volleyball Recap: Northmor Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Northmor, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Fredericktown Freddies on Tuesday. This was payback for the Golden Knights, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Northmor had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-23, 25-18, 25-21.

Northmor found their leader in sophomore Mary Dean, who had 22 digs. Those 22 digs set a new season-high mark for Dean. Jillian Zeger was another key player, getting seven digs and three aces.

Northmor's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Fredericktown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Northmor is set to square off against their familiar foe East Knox at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fredericktown will face off against rival Loudonville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
