Baseball Game Preview: Graham Local Falcons vs. Shawnee Braves

The Graham Local Falcons will square off against the Shawnee Braves at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Graham Local is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Bellbrook hit Graham Local with a eight-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Falcons took a 15-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (11), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

Owen Powell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Holden Dunham, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Shawnee lost 11-4 to London on Monday. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Red Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Joey Ross made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Bowen, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Graham Local, they dropped their record down to 12-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Graham Local took their victory against Shawnee when the teams last played on Wednesday by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
