Football Recap: Daniel Boone Falls to Volunteer in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Daniel Boone had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Volunteer Falcons 30-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Volunteer found their leader in sophomore Bryson Christian, who rushed for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries. Christian's longest rush was for an impressive 68 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Looking ahead, Daniel Boone will square off against South Greene at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Volunteer, they will challenge Claiborne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
