The Rolesville Rams will challenge the South Central Falcons at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Rolesville took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Sanderson by a score of 7-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Rams haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Carter Steelman tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Austin Leicht was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Carter DeSilva, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Rolesville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sanderson struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Central). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Northside - Jacksonville a 16-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their two-run performance the match before.
Justin Blow and Chase White were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Blow pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, White pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Blow didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Blow scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in both of his plate appearances, while White went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rahkeem Williams, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. South Central is undefeated when Williams posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Jones, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
South Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. Rolesville's win bumped their record up to 3-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rolesville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like South Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
