Softball Recap: Carrollton's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Carrollton had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Minerva Lions by a score of 4-1 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Lions back in April, they had to take a 7-2 defeat.

Reagan Schneiders spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Juliaunna Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Jordan Pittman was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.

Carrollton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 3-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Carrollton's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Minerva, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
