Baseball Recap: Ridge View Takes a Loss

Ridge View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lugoff-Elgin Demons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Demons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Tuesday.

Ridge View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Gary, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Arist Nosker also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Ridge View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridge View will head out to challenge Irmo at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Blazers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they will head out on the road to take on A.C. Flora at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Demons surely won't give up without a fight.
