Volleyball Game Preview: Alexander Bulldogs vs. SA Roosevelt Rough Riders

The Alexander Bulldogs will challenge the SA Roosevelt Rough Riders at 10:15 a.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Alexander had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against McAllen by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The game was the first time Alexander has beaten McAllen on their court since October 31, 2017.

Alexander was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 23-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, SA Roosevelt gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Sam Houston. The Rough Riders haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-21, 25-13.

Alexander beat SA Roosevelt 2-0 in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Rough Riders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
