Baseball Recap: Redmond Comes Up Short

Redmond extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-11 in the process. They came up short against the Bend Lava Bears, falling 10-0. The loss was just more heartbreak for the Panthers, who fell 5-3 when the teams last met back in April of 2024.

As for Bend, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For Bend's part, the result came thanks to Cash Hattenhauer's shutout, as he gave up just three hits.

At the plate, Will Goodman was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kaden Cooper, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

While Redmond had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
