Baseball Game Recap: Jefferson Jaguars vs. Waconia Wildcats

It was a proper cat-fight when Jefferson challenged Waconia on Thursday. The Jaguars might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to the Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 back in April.

Aidan Wong made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Isaac Feller, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Jefferson's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Waconia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Coincidentally, Jefferson and Waconia will both be playing Orono the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Jaguars will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
