Baseball Recap: Lakeshore Takes a Loss

Lakeshore had taken Archbishop Hannan down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. Lakeshore took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Archbishop Hannan. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Archbishop Hannan this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 last Wednesday.

Lakeshore has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season. As for Archbishop Hannan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lakeshore is set to square off against their familiar foe Franklinton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Archbishop Hannan will face off against rival Pearl River at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hawks 3.8, the Rebels 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
