Volleyball Recap: South Newton Takes a Loss

South Newton saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rossville Hornets.

Jada Cripe paced South Newton's offense, picking up five kills. Cripe got some help from Lindsay Lowe and her eight assists. Cripe also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Avalin Bohlinger, racking up three apiece.

South Newton's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Rossville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, South Newton and Rossville will both be playing Faith Christian the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rebels will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
