Recap: Owensville Dutchmen vs. Webb City Cardinals
The Owensville Dutchmen suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. Their rough 73-53 loss to Webb City might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Owensville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while Webb City is ranked 69th).
Barron Duda was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds and six steals for Webb City. Duda is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Pace, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and seven steals.
Owensville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Webb City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
