Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Grace

While Grace put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Bishop Diego. The Lancers came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 3-0. The win was nothing new for the Lancers as they're now sitting on three straight.

The result came thanks to Rosy Salazar's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grace Maguire was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Grace's record is now 10-3. As for Bishop Diego, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace will venture away from home to face off against Foothill Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Diego, they will head out to challenge Faith Baptist at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Contenders have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
