Basketball Recap: East Valley Takes a Loss

East Valley lost against Selah back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The East Valley Red Devils fell 72-59 to the Selah Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Vikings are ranked 32nd).

This is the second loss in a row for East Valley and nudges their season record down to 6-7. As for Selah, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Valley will challenge Toppenish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Selah, they will take on Quincy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Selah knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matches -- so hopefully Quincy likes a good challenge.
