Sierra Canyon took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the JSerra Catholic Lions 35-0. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Trailblazers had established a 28-point advantage.

Jaxsen Stokes had a dynamite game, rushing for 96 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of De'Markus Barnes, who gained 98 total yards and a touchdown.

Sierra Canyon's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Mikhal Johnson: he picked up a sack and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Coming up, Sierra Canyon is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Oaks Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 914 yards in their previous games. As for JSerra Catholic, they will host Damien at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
