Basketball Recap: Westlake Comes Up Short

Westlake suffered their closest loss since November 25, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rosepine Eagles by a score of 66-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (55), the Rams still had to take the loss.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6-1. As for Rosepine, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Westlake and Rosepine should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Westlake (ranked 103rd) will meet South Beauregard (ranked 252nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Rosepine will face off against Pickering at 5:00 p.m. on Friday up 194 places (45 vs. 239).
