Basketball Recap: Union Preparatory Comes Up Short

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Union Preparatory was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 72-30 defeat at the hands of the Union Day Gryphons.

Union Day found their leader in sophomore Jazon Reynolds, who shot 48% from the field on his way to 34 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Page, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 13 points and five steals.

Union Preparatory now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Union Day, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union Preparatory will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Faith Academy Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Polar Bears will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Union Day, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m.
