Volleyball Recap: East Palestine Takes a Loss

East Palestine lost against Springfield back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Tigers. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While East Palestine was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Springfield's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 26-24.

Amara Wilson paced East Palestine's offense, picking up ten kills. Wilson got some help from Kennedy Andre and her 11 assists. Wilson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

East Palestine now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Springfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Palestine will square off against Wellsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springfield, they will challenge McDonald at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
