Volleyball Recap: Palmdale Comes Up Short

Palmdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Lancaster Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-8, 25-18.

Efrain Dela Cruz paced Palmdale's offense, picking up five kills. Dela Cruz were helped by Christian Miranda and Gerardo Asij, who contributed five assists each. Finally, Yanixan Arredondo kept Palmdale's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Among those leading the charge was Bryan Romero Martinez, who had 16 digs and two assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

Palmdale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Lancaster, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-15.

Palmdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Quartz Hill on the 8th. As for Lancaster, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Eastside on the 8th.
