Football Recap: Woodlawn Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Woodlawn extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were outmatched by the Homewood Patriots and fell 52-8. The Colonels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Cornealius Hudson threw for 85 yards and one touchdown. Kendric Smith was his top target, picking up 117 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Kharon Lewis rushed for 33 yards.

As for Homewood, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.5 points on average this season.

Homewood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleb Carson, who threw for 142 yards and four touchdowns on only nine passes. The Patriots' leading receiver Tomon Felton was Carson's top target yet again, picking up 91 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Woodlawn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 26-21 win against Mortimer Jordan on the 19th. As for Homewood, they have also already played their next match, a 49-0 victory against Jackson-Olin on the 19th.
