Soccer Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

West Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Camelback Spartans.

West Point's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Camelback, they moved to 1-7 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

West Point and Camelback could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings. West Point (ranked 170th) will meet Apollo (ranked 27th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Camelback will take on Browne at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 129 places (163 vs. 34).
