Softball Game Preview: West Mifflin Titans vs. Belle Vernon Leopards

West Mifflin is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Monday. They will host the Belle Vernon Leopards at 4:00 p.m. West Mifflin's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Belle Vernon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Saturday, West Mifflin came up short against Plum and fell 8-4. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly four runs.

ANNABELLE GRAHAM spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, ADILEE SALOPEK made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That stolen base was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Belle Vernon also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Thomas Jefferson by a score of 9-6. The Leopards have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

West Mifflin now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Belle Vernon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
