Baseball Recap: Pittsburg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Field Kindley on Tuesday, Pittsburg came back down to earth. The Dragons fell 7-2 to the Fort Scott Tigers on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 last Tuesday.

Pittsburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Fort Scott, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Coming up, Pittsburg is taking a road trip to face off against Field Kindley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Tornado have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. Fort Scott has already played their next contest (against Webb City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
