Basketball Game Preview: Queen Creek Bulldogs vs. Desert Ridge Jaguars

Queen Creek hasn't had much luck against Desert Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Queen Creek Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Desert Ridge Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Queen Creek is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 83-29 loss at the hands of Williams Field. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Black Hawks are ranked 19th).

Despite their defeat, Queen Creek saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Amaya Rodgers, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Ivanna Rosales was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Desert Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highland. The Jaguars were down 56-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Desert Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Queen Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.

Queen Creek took a serious blow against Desert Ridge when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 62-28. Can Queen Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
