Baseball Recap: Mishawaka Cavemen vs. New Prairie Cougars

Mishawaka was the 3-1 winner over New Prairie when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Mishawaka Cavemen lost 9-3 to the New Prairie Cougars on Friday. Mishawaka has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shawn Nowacki made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

On New Prairie's side, Joe Kinney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks.
