Basketball Recap: Aurora West College Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Aurora West College Prep Academy lost against Lotus School For Excellence back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans were beaten by the Lotus School For Excellence Meteors 72-44. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Meteors are ranked 155th).

Aurora West College Prep Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Lotus School For Excellence, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aurora West College Prep Academy will take on Nederland at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Aurora West College Prep Academy is facing Nederland at the right time seeing as Nederland is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Lotus School For Excellence, they will square off against Fountain Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Fountain Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season.
