Baseball Recap: Hamilton Takes a Loss

Hamilton and Fayette County pushed the score to 20-11 the last time they played Fayette County, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Aggies fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Aggies in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Hamilton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Houston Tibbs, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Fayette County, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hamilton beat the Tigers by a score of 4-2 later that day.
