Softball Recap: Beaver Has No Trouble Against Laurel

Beaver made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Laurel, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Beaver was the clear victor by a 12-5 margin over Laurel on Thursday. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

Olivia Peabody was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Sami Springman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Beaver kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

Beaver's record now sits at 5-1. As for Laurel, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Beaver and Laurel will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Beaver is set to square off against their familiar foe North Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Laurel will challenge rival Neshannock at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
