Basketball Recap: Freedom Prep Academy Wins Going Away Against Telos

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Joseph, Freedom Prep Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They strolled past the Telos Titans with points to spare, taking the game 55-41. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won six in a row.

Jonas Sosa had an outrageously good game as he shot 47% from the field to rack up 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024. Joseph Black was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Freedom Prep Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Freedom Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Telos, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freedom Prep Academy will welcome Escalante at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Telos, they will square off against Pinnacle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' defense better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 61 points per game this season.
