Basketball Recap: Gateway Takes a Loss

After soaring to 70 points the game before, Gateway was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They had to suffer through an 83-28 loss at the hands of the Horizon Hawks. If the Olympians were looking for revenge after losing 79-37 to the Hawks when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Gateway still got an impressive performance from Colt Wenzel, who posted ten points.

Gateway now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Horizon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Coming up, Gateway will square off against Adams City at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Horizon, they will challenge Boulder at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
