Basketball Recap: Gateway Comes Up Short

After soaring to 70 points the game before, Gateway was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They took a blow against the Horizon Hawks, falling 83-28. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Olympians of the 79-37 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Gateway lost, don't look at Colt Wenzel. Despite the final result, he posted ten points.

Gateway now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Horizon, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Gateway will be playing at home against Adams City at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Horizon, they will take on Boulder in a tournament on Wednesday.
