Football Recap: Bellmont Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Bellmont's offense. They were outmatched by the South Adams Starfires and fell 53-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Starfires: they've now lost nine in a row.

Charlie Faurote threw for 73 yards on eight of 24 attempts. Oliver Werling was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards.

South Adams can attribute much of their success to Will Patterson, who rushed for 44 yards and two TDs.

Bellmont's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for South Adams, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Bellmont and South Adams will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Braves are set to take on their familiar foe Columbia City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Adams will challenge rival Bluffton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
